We arrived to downtown around 10 in the morning. Most of the roads in downtown were closed because of the damage. Traffic lights were broken and the glass all over the place. We tried to get closer to CNN Center but the cops did not let people approach the building to avoid any more injuries. We took some pictures of the buildings being damaged, and we left the area towards the Aquarium.
It was one of the biggest in the States and in the world as well. I really liked being in a human made oceon. Two things amazed me in that place. First the Whales, and the Sharks. Tow huge creatures that I’ve never seen. It was really cool.
Although another storm was expected, people did not seem scared or frightened by the previous tornadoe. They just left their houses to enjoy the week-end, and have fun. We went after that back to our room to take some rest, and get the tockets for six flags. In the next day, we went to six flags, it was a lot of fun.
I think that this is the advantage of being in Mobile Alabama. Close to many attraction parks, such as Six flags in Atlanta, World Disney in Orlando, and many other exciting places. Actually, after the success of this trip, we decided to go to either Orlando or Houston Texas this Summer. It is gonna be a lot of fun.

Hi, it’s me Ai (Kiri).
After a break last week, it is really nice to see everybody back on campus again! Welcome back!!!:D
Still I haven’t seen some people for more than a week. Hopefully I’ll get to see them all soon.
Awwwww by the way, I had a bit frustrating moment today at work. I helped somebody in the office read Chinese document online. (Unfortunately they did not have enough information in English and he had to ask me for help.) However, I am not a Chinese either. As being Japanese that share some symbols with Chinese, I somehow can tell what some characters mean in a line. But I wasn’t good enough to understand the full meaning of each sencence. It was even more frustrating than being not able to read it at all. I’m so sorry that I could not solve the problem.
Uhmm… That’s all for today. See you next time!
Thanks for reading!

So, the spring break is finally over. I miss it already. (It is just Monday, by the way.)
Another big “killer week” is coming up. Having 4 exams this week, I wonder if I will be still surviving at the end of this week. Personally speaking, I THINK it is so cruel of my professors to have MIDTERMs and vast number of HW problems due right after the fun spring break. (However I’m done with two of the exams already.) Well, that happens to everybody I guess. I’ll stop complaining for now. (Anybody is welcome to complain about this with me. hehehe)
Wish me a good luck
So, I just got out of library with my classmate. We had been studying since we got out of the last class (around 4:30 or so) till the library closed. There was almost nobody in the library when we walked in. Probably that was why nobody checked on us before they close the library. Both my classmate and I forgot to check what time they close on Monday, so we just kept on studying, assuming somebody would call us for their close time.
However NOBODY called us and they suddenly SHUT the light OFF!!!At that moment we freaked out, obviously.
Then we rushed to get out of the library (we really didn’t have to) and started laughing.
“Did they KNOW that we were there?” this was my classmate’s question.
“Well, maybe they didn’t, or perhaps they might have. Maybe they shut the light off WITHOUT letting us know, on purpose. “ said I….. hehehehe I was just kidding, of course.
Anyways it was kinda fun night.
….. the only problem is, we have some leftovers from problems… oh well, I’ll take care of them tomorrow.
Geez I’m so hungry!!! I’m gonna eat and go to bed soon.
Thanks for reading as always, See ya!!

Here I am back to tell you about my spring break. Actually, after four days of working full time in the office, I got the chance to go to Atlanta to enjoy a week-end. I really did! Well, I finally decided with two of my friends to go and visit Atlanta, a very nice city to the north east of Mobile Alabama. We drove there on Friday for 6 hours, and we went straight to the hotel where we took some rest. Then, we decided to go to downtown where we will pass by Fedex Kinko’s to print out the tickets for Six Flags, as we did not have the printer in the room. After that, We decided to take a look at Atlanta downtown at night, and while we were driving, the weather changed and the first signs of a storm appeared in the horizon; Thunder, lightening, rain, wind, and buildings being damaged. We did not realize that this was a hit of a tornado. We went back to our room in an extermely dangerous ride. We finally got back to our room, we switched the TV on to watch a movie or a comedy show. While changing the channels, we came across the news channel, and they were talking about a tornado which hit Atlanta downtown. We could not believe that we were there few minutes ago. The storm hit strongly the city, and kept us in our room for hours, as walking or driving in such sircumstances could cause us much. We spent the night praying for a better tomorrow. We woke up in the morning and we decided to go and see what happened in downtown, we were curious and we wanted to join everybody in the spot. For the first time in my life I live a tornado. It was hard to believe that such thing happened in such beautiful city. We arrived to downtown the next day, and we went straight to the CNN Center, were the storm hit most. unforgettable

Well another Cricket Tournament is over. We had 9 teams participating in the tournament and a great time was had by all, well at least most of the time. The weather was not cooperating at first but then it turned out to be a beautiful weekend though a little cold for cricket.
The teams participating were : Token, Titans, India, Gamblers, Bulletz, Eagles, Strikerz, Blue Jags, and Nepal. The semifinals took place on Sunday morning, with Strikerz facing India and Token facing Titans. All of the teams put up a good fight with India facing Token in the final and then eventually defeating them for the title.
Well we will be playing more cricket at the end of spring and hope to see you all there.
Brenda
Hey people of the earth,
Hope everyone is doing well. Well, I am not really happy about what happened tonight. I went to watch the Basketball game and unfortunatly, our jaguars lost. They played against Tenessee which was the strongest team that I have seen so far, in a wonderful skills’ exibit. Our team started in good conditions, the spectators were great and supported the jaguars untill the last minute. However, they panicked and missed many shots. The jaguars were elimnated from the tournment, but they still have the championship title. Everybody enjoyed the performance of the jaguars this year.
tomorrow is the final, and I think that not many will go to watch the game, because the jaguars won’t be there. I will be going to watch it wth my friends. for the first time, I will be watching a game without yelling and singing.
Thanks for reading that,
Ahmed.
Hey,
Last night, I decided with two friends of mine to go and attend the sun belt tournment in Mitchel Center. in fact we went there, and we got our tickets for free. This is one of the advantages of hosting any games in South. Students are the kings in their home campus. You have the right to go and watch any game for free, Isn’t that cool? Anyway, we got in, and we had a lot of fun. The players of other teams are good, but I think that the Jaguars are the best. They are the champions, and everybody likes them and confesses that they cause hard time for other teams to win, and they don’t! Actually, today, a very nice game will be taking place in Mitchel center, where the Men jaguars will rock again against another University. ( I’m not sure about the other team’s name). In a couple of minutes, I will be leaving to watch that, I am sure that it is gonna be a Blast!
Although it is spring break, the Campus is still alive with this tournament, and others. From thee other part of the Campus, there was a Cricket tournment. Many teams were competing to get the title. Man, this is amazig. Next time, I, and other friends, will be planning for a soccer tournment here on campus. There are many players that want to play, and they are good too, but nobody organized anything yet. We will be oranizing somethign soon, I’ll try my best my friends! If any body has an idea or can help us make this come true, I’ll be happy to sit and talk, and do something good for soccer as well. I am sure that Ms. Brenda wont mind, because she is open-minded, and she encourages such ideas, I promise!
A demain…

Hi, it’s me Ai (Kiri). Today I had a nice conversation with one of my co-workers “B” about different languages that exist in the world.
Needless to say, we use (hear, speak, read and write) English as a common language. Being a non-native English speaker, I have been putting a lot of effort to improve my English skill ever sincne I started learning English at the age of 12. Yes, it’s been a long time, but still I’m not perfect yet. I still make a lot of grammatical mistakes as I write or speak fast. (If I slow down, usually I don’t make so many mistakes.) I still have problems in using pronouns (to, from, of, in, on, at, above, under, … etc.) and still mix them up. Especially when I talk about a date or specific/approximate time, the pronouns are so confusing. Also I make even worse mistakes with articles (a, an, & the.) I sometimes forget to put it, or put extra one when I don’t need to. …I don’t think I am using all of them right yet. I need more training and actually need to ask everybody to correct me.
For example…
1. I came to Mobile, AL (on / in / at) July 7th, 2004. ***I have been using “on” for this case. Is it correct?
2. I will take a class (on / in ) summer. *** I think ”in” is correct if I dare choose one, but in that case don’t I need “the” right before ”summer?” …I suppose I can also say “I will take a class this summer.” and that is correct, right?
3. I took a class (on / in) last summer. *** For this case, I don’t think I need any of those, but still I’m confused. How is it??
Hmmm…. I need to work on those more.
To be continued. Thank you for reading
