June 24, 2009CountdownIt feels good to know that I dont have to go to class everyday(no longer have as much classes as I used to). Although it makes me a little lazy, I don’t think I mind at all. The weather is still as hot as usual, students are not that much on campus, n d second term continues. I pray this term runs as fast as the first one did. :)) Ahhhhh…..That was exactly what I did after I got out of class today (I gave a sigh of relief). I wrote my finals for the first term and it felt so good. The second term starts tomorrow and a lot of students wish they had at least one day of rest before the next term. I’m sorry about that guys, but the earlier you get to work the better for you. This weekend was mixed up with fun and studying. The weather is so hot that one of my friends said he wouldn’t be surprised if one is able to boil water with it. I personally wouldn’t be surprised if one would be able to fry eggs under it. LOL…. Anyways for all of you who don’t have classes for the next term, have a pleasant and peaceful summer. As for those of us who still have classes to take, keep your headS up, its just a matter of time. HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK AHEAD!!!! Caritas Roller SkatingSaturday I had a lot of fun! I went along with international club and we went Roller skating. It was my first roller skating like many other people who come on the trip. I ended up falling many times which was funny in a way. Later on during the field trip we did some dancing which was also very very fun, I had a blast and I’m sure that the rest of the people did too. June 19, 2009A Beautiful DayWell first, today is my birthday and I can not begin to thank all of my students and alums for the wonderful birthday wishes they have all sent my way! What a wonderful international family I have here at South Alabama. The weekend is upon us and next weekend will be our cookout and get together. Hopefully we will get some rain before then to cool things off a little bit. For those of you out there who are father’s, Happy Father’s Day to you and those of you, who have father’s to be thankful for, don’t forget that Sunday is Father’s day! Brenda
TGIF (Thank God Its Friday)Its so amazing how one wakes up on a monday morning complainig it’s monday, and all of a sudden Friday comes in and we are so glad. The week went by so fast that I almost can’t remember the activities I did this week. The Finals for the first term are so close I can almost smell it. The campus seems a little bit quiet, teachers are rounding up with ther teaching, and I am more than glad that two of my classes will be over soon. Once again people there will be a CISO cook out at the Grove on June 28 from 4-8pm. Lets come out and have fun together. Today is Ms. Brenda’s Birthday and I’m using this opprtunity to wish her a happy belated birthday. Good luck on your finals people!!!! Caritas. June 15, 2009First term of summer comes to an end…As the first term comes to a close, it seems to me like the weather becomes hotter. The midterms last week were ok and I’m sure that just like me, a lot of students are looking forward to the end of this term. Hot alabamaIts a sunny day here at the University of South Alabama, this morning the sun was accompanied with some air but the air died down all of a sudden, and for some reason the school environment seems so quiet. Is it withdrawal time already or did some people wake up feeling it’s not a good day for class? Oh well! I guess today is one of those days when students decide to lie low for some reason or the other. June 8, 2009Monday morning BluesWell yet another Monday is upon us and the campus is filled with students rushing around to class and trying to stay cool. I can’t help but wonder how many are not going to class and will be in here worried about how there grades will not be good. It is amazing that students think they can do well without going to class.
