Hi, this is Ai (Kiri). How’s it going??
Our annual big event “International Student Festival” is coming up this week!!
I’ve been in USA for almost 4 years and this is one of the most favorite events of mine. So many int’l students from each country try very hard to do the best exhibitions and performance. They always do amazing job and entertain all the guests.
This year, it seems like they’re gonna have a Food Fest?? I’m pretty curious about it. I need more detail info for it thoguh.
As for me, I will perticipate in the parade to carry a flag of my country. What a great honor!!!! he-he-he–!! Plus, I will be attending the Talent show of Japanese team. Well, I’m not gonna talk too much about it yet, just looking forward to all the performance, yay
Let’s not miss it, it’s gonna be awesome!
Thanks for reading as always,

Watch out!!!
Here we have come to one of the worst seasons in a year…
Pollens from trees and flowers are making people sick. I really feel sympathy for those people suffering from the pollens….
Well, fortunately I don’t have allergy for pollens, but…
Here we got another serious problems around here on this season:
Fireants are getting out of their nests and starting their activities!!!
They are mean enough to bite people just passing by their nest…
I’m seriously allergetic to fireants. Last year I almost died (well, could be too much exaggeration but still..) because of the bites. legion of fireants attacked me when I accidentally stepped on their nest once. It was last summer. My entire body swelled and I had nausea.
…Then yesterday, they attacked me again!
They climbed up my shoes and get inside of my jeans. They bit me on the side stomach. I found out that “wearing shoes” is not the perfect solution to solve this problem.
We have to be careful!
I’m now bug-phobia…. I’m starting to get scared of ANY bug around me and it is pretty bad….
I found a cockroach at home after that and I screamed. Can anybody give me a lecture to teach me how to overcome the bug-phobia??
Well, thanks for reading as always.

Hey,
One month and some days left for the semester to get over. I can’t wait to finish this semester with good grades, and go back to Algeria for summer vacation. I missed my Mom, Dad, and all the rest of the family. I missed my girl also, as the only way to get in touch with her now is through Skype or MSN messenger.
Everybody is busy with the late assignments. I like seeing people busy at the end of each semester. The library gets full, the parking lots are full, the cafeteria is full… everything is full, I like that. Although this is the end of the semester and everyone is taken by his preparations for the finals, parties, dinners, and cultural events still take place on campus. As you know, March is the month of the international student.
Tomorrow for instance, we have the Pakistani discussion panel in Humanities building. Dr Hussein will be talking about all that is going on in Pakistan. This is organized by the Pakistani Student Association, one of the most active associations on Campus. Besides, there will be Pakistani food served. I can’t wait to learn and eat at the same time, isn’t that cool?

We arrived to downtown around 10 in the morning. Most of the roads in downtown were closed because of the damage. Traffic lights were broken and the glass all over the place. We tried to get closer to CNN Center but the cops did not let people approach the building to avoid any more injuries. We took some pictures of the buildings being damaged, and we left the area towards the Aquarium.
It was one of the biggest in the States and in the world as well. I really liked being in a human made oceon. Two things amazed me in that place. First the Whales, and the Sharks. Tow huge creatures that I’ve never seen. It was really cool.
Although another storm was expected, people did not seem scared or frightened by the previous tornadoe. They just left their houses to enjoy the week-end, and have fun. We went after that back to our room to take some rest, and get the tockets for six flags. In the next day, we went to six flags, it was a lot of fun.
I think that this is the advantage of being in Mobile Alabama. Close to many attraction parks, such as Six flags in Atlanta, World Disney in Orlando, and many other exciting places. Actually, after the success of this trip, we decided to go to either Orlando or Houston Texas this Summer. It is gonna be a lot of fun.

Hi, it’s me Ai (Kiri).
After a break last week, it is really nice to see everybody back on campus again! Welcome back!!!:D
Still I haven’t seen some people for more than a week. Hopefully I’ll get to see them all soon.
Awwwww by the way, I had a bit frustrating moment today at work. I helped somebody in the office read Chinese document online. (Unfortunately they did not have enough information in English and he had to ask me for help.) However, I am not a Chinese either. As being Japanese that share some symbols with Chinese, I somehow can tell what some characters mean in a line. But I wasn’t good enough to understand the full meaning of each sencence. It was even more frustrating than being not able to read it at all. I’m so sorry that I could not solve the problem.
Uhmm… That’s all for today. See you next time!
Thanks for reading!

So, the spring break is finally over. I miss it already. (It is just Monday, by the way.)
Another big “killer week” is coming up. Having 4 exams this week, I wonder if I will be still surviving at the end of this week. Personally speaking, I THINK it is so cruel of my professors to have MIDTERMs and vast number of HW problems due right after the fun spring break. (However I’m done with two of the exams already.) Well, that happens to everybody I guess. I’ll stop complaining for now. (Anybody is welcome to complain about this with me. hehehe)
Wish me a good luck
So, I just got out of library with my classmate. We had been studying since we got out of the last class (around 4:30 or so) till the library closed. There was almost nobody in the library when we walked in. Probably that was why nobody checked on us before they close the library. Both my classmate and I forgot to check what time they close on Monday, so we just kept on studying, assuming somebody would call us for their close time.
However NOBODY called us and they suddenly SHUT the light OFF!!!At that moment we freaked out, obviously.
Then we rushed to get out of the library (we really didn’t have to) and started laughing.
“Did they KNOW that we were there?” this was my classmate’s question.
“Well, maybe they didn’t, or perhaps they might have. Maybe they shut the light off WITHOUT letting us know, on purpose. “ said I….. hehehehe I was just kidding, of course.
Anyways it was kinda fun night.
….. the only problem is, we have some leftovers from problems… oh well, I’ll take care of them tomorrow.
Geez I’m so hungry!!! I’m gonna eat and go to bed soon.
Thanks for reading as always, See ya!!

Here I am back to tell you about my spring break. Actually, after four days of working full time in the office, I got the chance to go to Atlanta to enjoy a week-end. I really did! Well, I finally decided with two of my friends to go and visit Atlanta, a very nice city to the north east of Mobile Alabama. We drove there on Friday for 6 hours, and we went straight to the hotel where we took some rest. Then, we decided to go to downtown where we will pass by Fedex Kinko’s to print out the tickets for Six Flags, as we did not have the printer in the room. After that, We decided to take a look at Atlanta downtown at night, and while we were driving, the weather changed and the first signs of a storm appeared in the horizon; Thunder, lightening, rain, wind, and buildings being damaged. We did not realize that this was a hit of a tornado. We went back to our room in an extermely dangerous ride. We finally got back to our room, we switched the TV on to watch a movie or a comedy show. While changing the channels, we came across the news channel, and they were talking about a tornado which hit Atlanta downtown. We could not believe that we were there few minutes ago. The storm hit strongly the city, and kept us in our room for hours, as walking or driving in such sircumstances could cause us much. We spent the night praying for a better tomorrow. We woke up in the morning and we decided to go and see what happened in downtown, we were curious and we wanted to join everybody in the spot. For the first time in my life I live a tornado. It was hard to believe that such thing happened in such beautiful city. We arrived to downtown the next day, and we went straight to the CNN Center, were the storm hit most. unforgettable
To be continued…

Well another Cricket Tournament is over. We had 9 teams participating in the tournament and a great time was had by all, well at least most of the time. The weather was not cooperating at first but then it turned out to be a beautiful weekend though a little cold for cricket.
The teams participating were : Token, Titans, India, Gamblers, Bulletz, Eagles, Strikerz, Blue Jags, and Nepal. The semifinals took place on Sunday morning, with Strikerz facing India and Token facing Titans. All of the teams put up a good fight with India facing Token in the final and then eventually defeating them for the title.
Well we will be playing more cricket at the end of spring and hope to see you all there.

Hey people of the earth,
Hope everyone is doing well. Well, I am not really happy about what happened tonight. I went to watch the Basketball game and unfortunatly, our jaguars lost. They played against Tenessee which was the strongest team that I have seen so far, in a wonderful skills’ exibit. Our team started in good conditions, the spectators were great and supported the jaguars untill the last minute. However, they panicked and missed many shots. The jaguars were elimnated from the tournment, but they still have the championship title. Everybody enjoyed the performance of the jaguars this year.
tomorrow is the final, and I think that not many will go to watch the game, because the jaguars won’t be there. I will be going to watch it wth my friends. for the first time, I will be watching a game without yelling and singing.
Thanks for reading that,
Ahmed.
